Class/Regents Fail

I took an Algebra class this semester, and failed it, but I passed the Regents with a 75. Do I get the credit, do I have to go to summer school, do I have to take this class again?

You would have to call and ask your school. I know my high school wouldn't even let us take the regents if we didn't pass the class.

They're tests that NY makes us take to prove that we actually learned shit in high school... apparently 4 years of school and our diplomas aren't good enough.

I know and they cause us to barely learn stuff in high school because 'if it's not on the regents, we don't need to know it'.

Speaking of farms, my school was actually across the street from a chicken farm. Literally, Carthage, NY has like a main road with some stores, some houses, and then nothing. Just fields and barns.

haha All upstate NY is basically farms. Whenever people hear I'm from NY their like, 'Wow, Cool!' and I'm just like, 'uh... no, not really... unless you REALLY like farms'.

Seriously. The exchange students from my school were so disappointed when they found out that not all of NY is like New York City. But I live an hour from Syracuse which rules and I'm moving in a couple months so it's not THAT bad.

The same thing happened here. German Exchange students came and were SO disappointed. They could have went to basically any town in America, I really wanted to ask why the hell they would decide to come here. I'm about 25 minutes from Saratoga, which still sucks, but not quite as much. Where are you moving to?

Rochester for college. It's gonna be cool living in a big city for once just because I've been up here all my life but the show scene seems pretty weak. The best band from Rochester right now is Such Gold and they're awesome but the rest of the bands from up that way are horrible metalcore. And last show I went there for there was a brawl. How's Saratoga?

Saratoga's not too bad. It's very touristy in the summer with the track and it's pretty boring, but it could be worse. I only know a couple local bands, but nothing really worth mentioning. The only place that really has shows regularly is about 40 minutes away, which really sucks. I go to community college now, but I want to transfer to Boston next year because I agree it would be cool to live in a big city after living here all my life and I can actually go to shows regularly!
