When I met them they were all super nice and put up with my fangirl-ness. They put on a wicked live show too. Thoughts?

I didn't know about them till I saw them at the secret myspace show with saosin. they were amazing. i was bummed i missed some of their set.

I saw them a long time ago with some local MD bands and they were very good. I got their cd ages ago before they actually released it and they had the 5 songs just burned on a blank CD.

I was supposed to see them with Hit The Lights but they cancelled for some reason so I've been reduced to just enjoying the ep. And I believe they're from Long Island.

I just saw them the other night with Cobra Starship. Definitely some awesome guys. One of them had his girlfriend out with them, she was really cool, too.

They do sound have a similar sound to a lot of bands, but they are really versatile. That's what makes them a step ahead, in my opinion.

i got into this band awhile ago, back when they were writ in water, where i got a three song acoustic ep at a local show here on LI. after that i got to hear the ep, and i was hooked. it's finally nice to have some good music coming out of LI, again.

Best. Guys. Ever. Seriously.

Great music, even cooler guys. Haha, I can't rave enough about EOTC. They seriously make an effort to meet every kid that comes to their shows and actually REMEMBER you if you see them again. When you talk to them at shows it's more than just "You guys were great!" "Thanks so much" and on to the next kid crap you get with so many bands, but they really want to get to know people. What can I say, I'm in love with Envy!

Im 100% sure they are from Westbury, NY....the lead singer is Ryan...he's a great guy...my friend is friends with Ryan and i met him after he toured with saosin and played the knitting factory...they are a real fun band and they did go to hofstra before deciding to drop out....They are great guys and are always willing to talk to you...

they're from merrick and bellmore.

they've had like 5 names too, it seems with each name change i lose interest in them a little more because they make their music a little bit more accessible.

sal and jeremy went to syosset high school from evotc, where I went too, and won battle of the bands there 2 years ago.

Yeah, their EP is pretty B.A. They don't have a fantastically unique sound, but nonetheless, they're very catchy and I really like the singer's voice.

currently working on it, had about ten songs done before they took a short break to do some holiday shows, now they're back at it again for a short while before they go on tour with Cute is What We Aim For, Circa Survive and As Tall As Lions

there are a couple of live videos on youtube with some new songs if you want more Envy and a taste of what's to come from the guys

believe you me, I wasn't all that happy myself that I couldn't come, but broke is broke :-(

april 2-8 any show in MD or any bordering state and I'm there... and they better start touring full time, then they can come to me in Cali and I can bring all my friends. now doesn't that sound like a plan?

When I did the interview, all of them came outside and it was a whole group deal. Very cool guys.

Dude, coincidence. I saw that they'd be playing with Circa Survive, so I checked them out and I was hooked instantly. I actually came here to post something but, lo and behold, it's on the first page!

I can't wait to get my hands on their full EP. All I have right now is Temper Temper which I downloaded from their PureVolume. Every song is extremely catchy!

I saw em live and I wasn't impressed. Although this is not my prefered style of music so my opinion is kinda voided. Although one of their songs stuck with me for a while. I'm not sure which. They were opening for Mikoto and Saosin at the time.

most people's fav (and definitely the catchiest) is temper temper

my personal favorite is Green Eyes Don't Lie

but they only have 5 songs out right now, so it's not like it will take that much time to listen to their stuff

That list is notoriously unreliable, they're wrong a lot. Last year they said we would have Green Day and Set Your Goals records this year among a few others that we didn't get.

in partial defense of them they go by the dates the bands are initially going for before any set back occur like label interference and what not....

as for envy on the coast amazing live band i saw them on tour with the almost and emery last spring and they were great.

I don't think there's a set release date yet. They're recording in April, but Ryan's going to be really finicky with this album so who knows when it will actually be released.
