For once the mob on here was is right!!!!

Don't Stop Beleiving is one of the greatest sing along songs of all time. You just don't get better.

i say journey has more impressive stand outs (dont stop believing, wheel in the sky), but foreigner is a more consistent band.

And as much as i dislike u2, "with or without you" is the best singalong song ever. I had a near religious experience on a road trip recently when we got to the "AAAHHHH-ahhh-ahh-ahhhhh" part near the end... fucking fantastic.

Journey=Oxygen.
Foreigner=Water.

You need both to survive, but most would choose breathing over drinking.

I am shocked - literally, shocked - by how many people like Journey on here!

Let's just setlle this, once and for all: from 1976-1980, Journey was good. They wrote two very solid rock albums before releasing the sappy ballad "Open Arms," which led to such success, that Steve Perry began writing nothing but pop hits to sell records (Def Leppard did this to a similar extent in the 80's, as well).

Foreigner would follow suit, but for a much shorter period. After their fourth album (cleverly titled 4) started selling thanks to a ballad released as a single, they made a gimmicky follow-up disc full of synths and ballads like "I Wanna Know What Love Is". Lou Gramm then went on, much like Steve Perry did, to a solo career writing cheesy pop hits like this and fizzled quickly.

Foreigner lasted longer on the rocking scale, though, from 1975-1984, so therefore, in my eyes, Foreigner wins and is the better band.
