Yeah it's like 5 years old, but A Scanner Darkly is one of my favorite movies of the year, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with the same director and I've heard good things about this.

Yeah, it's definitely an interesting film. I've yet to see Scanner Darkly. I gotta get on that.

I saw it high once and it was amazing.

I then watched it sober like a month later and thought it was boring haha.

It's wonderful.
I totally agree. I just tried to watch it with my fiancee. Almost immediately I knew she hated it and not 10 minutes in, she got up and spent the rest of the time at the computer. As for me, I loved everything about it. I liked trying to follow all the theories and form my own opinions about them all and my own. This movie challenged me and there's not too many out there that do that. Amazing.

I just watched it a few days ago.
It was very...for lack of a better word, trippy. But for the most part a good movie.

I watched this in one of my english classes and absolutely loved it. It's pretty trippy and packs a big punch as it covers a wide spectrum of different philosophies. i recommend it, but i don't recommend seeing it if you can't focus 100% on it b/c it'll go right over your head.

And I paid full attention, and some of it still went over my head.

yea, you definitely need to watch it a couple of times to get a good feel on what is being said, especially b/c some of the visuals side track your mind.
