does anyone watch, or pay attention? i went to southern illinois university for two years and they're 5-0 this year. including a win over indiana from the big ten. i think they have a good show at winning the championship this year. one of my buddies from high school is leading the team in receiving yards and touchdowns. im excited to go to a couple of games this season.

They may have to go through the University of New Hampshire.
A decent amount of kids do follow 1-AA on here, though. I don't think Michigan has a 1-AA program so I'm not too hip on it, however, I'm getting there.
But D-2 is another story. Especially the D-2 football programs in Michigan. I'm all over those.
I do not follow them all too much. Just believe that Southern and Youngstown could def join the MAC and and would help out the conference. Especially with Buffalo and EMU sucking
My best friend in high school plays football at northeastern he got a full ride there on defensive line, even though they suck I still follow it now and watch va tech slaughter their asses haha

i follow UNH somewhat closely. I contend they could be around a .500 team in the Big East this season. The only teams I think would beat them out are WVU, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Rutgers.

they are back in 1-AA and have a pretty decent team this season. They will probably make the playoffs.
1-AA football is great at some schools. We (University of Delaware) sellout every home game and get over 22,000. New Hampshire beat us 52-49 a few weeks ago.

Yeah, they are. but Grand Valley State University probably will beat them when they play and will make another run deep into the Playoffs/might make another Nat'l Championship appearance.

nice, nice.
GVSU is #1 in the Regional poll, #1 in the National Poll and are 6-0. they've also won 19 straight games.

Yeah, they play in 2 weeks. in Allendale (GVSU's location). They've also got a tough game with Saginaw Valley State who is ranked 18th. the GLIAC (the conference Northwood and GVSU are in) is one of the best D2 conferences in the country. they've got about 3 schools routinely in the top 25 and a couple others good enough to knock of the good teams.
I still think GVSU runs the table the rest of the regular season.

i casually follow youngstown state. they have a pretty good team this year and a good chance at making some noise in the playoffs.
heacock's a good dude. i'd like to see him win a title here. he's a good coach and deserves to be known as a good coach and not just the dude who took over when tressel left.

I go to Umass, but I dont really follow the teams. This is my first year here so im still getting into the school, but our team is pretty good. They lost to Navy, but other than that I think we're 4-1 and ranked 10th in D1-AA.

I know it's not D-1AA but in Division 2, the #1 Grand Valley State Lakers won 33-7 and dominated one of the best offenses in the GLIAC Conference.
Also, Cullen Finerty, GVSU QB reached a big, big milestone. 8,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards which makes him only the 4th QB in any division of college football to do that.
INDIANAPOLIS -- If this was Grand Valley State's biggest test this season, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II passed it with flying colors.
Quarterback Cullen Finnerty used a balanced and potent offense to achieve two career milestones, while the Lakers' defense smothered one of the top offenses in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference during a 33-7 win over the University of Indianapolis on Saturday night.
Finnerty completed 15-of-29 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns. But it was his 1-yard scoring run with six minutes and 34 seconds left in the first quarter that gave the fifth-year senior more than 8,000 passing yards and exactly 2,000 rushing yards for his career.
The only other quarterbacks in that elite 8,000-2,000 football fraternity are the Baltimore Ravens' Steve McNair, who played from 1991-94 at Alcorn State, Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.) University's James McNear (2002-05), and Missouri's Brad Smith (2002-05).
Finnerty also became the all-time winningest quarterback in NCAA history with a 43-4 record. He had shared the mark with former North Alabama quarterback Cody Gross, who accounted for 42 wins from 1992-95.
"That's a pretty amazing feat, I guess," Finnerty said of his running and passing prowess. "You figure all the people that have, and do, play college football, and only four of us have done it.
"But I pride myself more on my record as a starting quarterback. I think the rushing and passing yards are a byproduct of how many games we've won here, and great offensive lines."
Grand Valley (7-0 overall, 6-0 GLIAC) finished with 248 yards rushing and 209 yards passing to stretch NCAA football's longest winning streak to 20 consecutive games, as it awaits this week's visit by No. 10 Northwood University at Lubbers Stadium.
Indianapolis (4-3, 3-3) was limited to 81 rushing yards and 212 total yards. The Greyhounds entered the game averaging 152.5 rushing yards and 233.2 passing yards.
Indianapolis quarterback Casey Gillin, a Ball State transfer, was third in Division II with a 65.4 percent completion percentage. Gillin was 8-for-15 passing for 131 yards and a 44-yard touchdown pass to Craig Jenkins in the game's last 4:55 to allow the Greyhounds to avert the shutout.
"They dominated, stopped the run and were in Gillin's face," Martin said of his defenders, who played without injured starters Samad Cain at safety and linebacker Matt Beaty.
"This was our best overall game of the year. We like the way we're playing right now."
Finnerty found Eric Fowler for a 32-yard touchdown pass and Preston Garris on a 9-yard scoring toss. Fowler finished with four receptions for 119 yards, and had two acrobatic catches, including the touchdown reception.
Creston graduate Astin Martin also carried 17 times for 87 yards.
"As each game goes by, we're seeing more improvement with our offense, and that just gives us the drive to get better and better," said guard Sean Stevens, who recovered a Garris fumble in the end zone for a fourth-quarter touchdown.
"Hey, I'm even a scoring machine now."
The bolded part highlights what he's done/the company he's in as well as mentions his 43-4 record as a starter.
