PunkRockVids (http://www.punkrockvids.com) have posted a video of Aiden (http://www.absolutepunk.net/aiden) performing "Genetic Design For Dying" acoustic.

Genetic design for dying!?
Uh, we're all genetically predisposed for death. What a lame name.

Aw c'mon man Aiden is just as influential as like the Beatles man or MCR! YEAH! ... obviously just kidding. When will Victory Records just stop signing bands?

I can only imagine how bad Aiden acoustic is. I say imagine because there is no way I would even attempt to watch it.

I really hate when it becomes trendy to dislike certain bands. Except for when that band is Aiden.

I'm waiting for scene kids down the road (or Greg Dona/Steve Henderson more likely) to write a review like 'wow I know people don't like Aiden, but this CD ain't half bad!'

You know...this band, hell with it, I like them. I find myself playing a few tracks from Nightmare Anatomy every so often. Ok, image-wise, they're pretty silly - but the music's entertaining. Wow. I guess I kinda like Aiden!

i haven't watched it, but i can't imagine the guys in the make-up and gear and all that jazz sitting down while strumming some acoustic guitars. haha.

I have liked Aiden, since way before Nightmare Anatomy came out, and it isn't as good as Our Gang's Dark Oath. This acoustic performance, they aren't in their normal costume with the make-up and everything. Aiden reminds me of Slipknot, who i liked about 10 years ago before they got big. People started liking them for the scene, and because of what they wore. As soon as Slipknot got out of that stuff they did get credibility. The scene kids will stop liking Aiden soon, and Aiden will probably drop the whole nightmare theme.

i went to new york city this weekend, and on the busride home, there was a large girl next to me wearing an aiden shirt, and she listened to really bad metalcore all the way home..7 hours. she also ate chips and a dip that smelled like pure asshole.
this is why i do not like aiden. they promote asshole dip.

That's what i am saying, once those kids drop off it'll be different I bet. When fat emo kids are involved a band always goes downhill... i.e. FOB, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Hawthorne Heights. None of these band were that good to begin with, but everyone of their followups to getting popular has been dramatically worse.

I decided, this scene is nu-metal
aiden=slipknot, stupid costume, and fans, but really weren't that bad
FOB=Limp Bizkit, one idiot in the band who has to have his face everywhere
Panic= Staind, neither band would be anyone without the above mentioned band
MCR=Korn, the bands everyone says are going to be considered influential but when the scene dies no one will care about them anymore.
Cobra Starship=Linkin Park, calling this now, they will be the band played on more than just rock stations, and have a wide variety of fans, but most rock fans will be annoyed by them

Are you an idiot? My Chemical Romance are fast becoming one of the biggest bands on the earth, and with every fan they gain, they damn well deserve it. They haven't always been make up and that, you blatantly weren't a fan during the first album. Geoff Rickly probably made the best decision to produce that album, he essentially if you think about it, opened the doors for Reprise to be interested and sign a great band.
You can say all you want about the other bands, but I will defend to my death, My Chemical Romance.
