Im no brand new fanboy far from it. they are pretty good in my opinion but i think thats an awesome awesome cover. It is way different than typical cover art and i enjoy the slight amatuer quality of it and the way the girls hand is up and shes kind of looking at it. personally i think the picture speaks volumes and if i saw it in a photographers portfolio id love it.

i actually really dig it. it reminds me of one of my favorite albums. the violent femmes self titled with the girl looking in the window of the old house.

some naysayers will say that if you look for meaning hard enough you can find it in anything. but in my opinion, this is a very layered photo. the girl, the house, the monsters. the playfulness of them all. what's beside her, behind her. what are the circumstances. i have a feeling the album musically is going to be like this as well. if you dont want to find meaning in it, then dont, but personally it makes it more fun to listen to if everythings not on the surface.

My thoughts on the cover are that it's awesome.
My idea on the concept:
Little girl- Small, harmless, her arms are up her sleeves to show how she cant fight back (to make it look like she has no hands), outnumbered by demons, she represents the angel, or the Godly figure. She also represents the good side of people.
Halloween costume dudes- Outnumber the angels, are alot bigger, represent the devils, or a persons demons.

My friend also said that one of the devils is wearing slippers to show that hes comfortably with who he is, and what he does, I think he was joking but that's still a pretty good connection. If you see people who drink or smoke excessively, they usually enjoy what they're doing and just let it be. Most good people are so uptight about staying how they are and never falling into bad things, aka "Fight off your demons".

Just my thoughts.

It was already explained, and two I do believe that in addition to the artists choosing their artwork for their own reasons, they also choose it to give their listeners their own reasons for the artwork and music as well. That's WHY CDs have covers.

who cares if it isnt professional taken. who cares if its from digital camera. who cares if it was taken from a disposable camera, its just a picture. its just what they want. its different.
