Unbelieveable. But hey, that's why the Bears might be a Super Bowl team.
And that's why Dennis Green should have stayed as an analyst.

that was probably the most fun game i've watched in years. it was definitely worth wasting an evening's worth of studying.

well no, that's not why i feel bad for him that he lost, i feel bad that he can't call the shots for his offense and that he ahs to do what his shit ass of a coach tells him to run.
i honestly beleive if they would have let leinart call the plays during the last half of the 4th, they would have won.
NFL thread? This was a sad game. He played well. Chicago had what 5 turnovers and they still could not get the win. It was there game to lose, sucks for them. Best of luck to his line

six turn overs actually, and no offensive points.

Ya thats how I justified not studying either. great game.

i'm assuming you're complaining about the run on 3rd and 1?
there was just less than a minute left, in field goal range. there was no reason to risk a pass that could result in an interception, fumble or sack. not only that, but an incompletion stops the clock, causing you to kick the field goal and leaving the bears with almost a full minute.
if edge picks up that first, they play the timeout game until the clock runs down and end up kicking it shortly after anyways.
in that position it's too risky to play for the td. you're in range, you play for the field goal.
green was right. there are very few coaches who would have called it differently.

I feel worse for Rackers. He may have put the final nail in the coffin, but it already had like 20 nails in it.

Unless there's a death to someone close to him, I can't imagine a scenario in which I'd ever feel bad for Matt Leinart.

why are people blaming Denny Green? Brian Urlacher's stripping of Edge was just a great fucking play by the best Linebacker in football.
His run on what was it? 3rd and 1 with less than a minute to go and a FG kicker that hadn't missed inside 50 yards all year and is virtually automatic from 40 and closer in his career, just waiting to kick the game winner? Please.
Arizona is a young team that will learn to put games away when they mature. Everyone get off Green's back for doing the right thing.

it didnt look like a fumble to me. edge was clearly halted by forward progress which should mean the play is dead. but the play kept going and the ball was stripped.

I know. Forward progress was stopped. But the whistle didn't blow, therefore, the play is still on. Therefore, stripping the ball was a heads up play.

leinart will make the cardinals his team by the end of the year. with fitzgerald and boldin, he'll do just fine.

don't forget bryant johnson. dude is one of the best slot WRs in the league. He'd be a #2 almost anywhere else.
Leinart has a lot of toys to work with. If they build a line for him and Edge ...watch out. They need to do it soon though, since Edge probably only has 2-3 years of his prime left.

I totally agree.
Give them a year or two to fix that o-line and up the defense just a notch or two... and you have a 9-7 or 10-6 team. Easily.
