I have these two songs that are apparently by them, Tartarus and Catatonic Mercy Killing, but I have no clue where they are from (what record). I checked their site, and they don't mention anything about them. I'm just asking because I based my purchase of their Notes CD off the My Heroes Have Always Killed Cowboys 12" and those two songs, and I was incredibly dissapointed/shocked/thought I had been given the wrong CD.
Does anyone know where those two tracks are from?

yeah, those songs are from their demo. theyre completely different than almost everything else, as was "notes" from their previous work.

A Day in Black and White is just one big disappointment. Most overhyped band ever.

I like their earlier stuff, but as they go on I like them less and less. The lyrics for Notes could have at least been a little clever.

notes took me a while to get into, but now i consider it their best release. they went from doing a city of caterpillar thing, which in my opinion, is a bit overdone, though they did it fantastically. they bridged out and created a second release that was less COC dramatic, and more like mid 80's dc punk a la dischord.

Eh... I wouldn't mind it so much if the lyrics were halfway decent. They just don't stand out at all.
