The following is a mini interview of generic questions that we posed to all bands that wanted to answer:

Around The World And Back (Answered by frontman Bryan Shortell)

1. How did you get your band name?
Completely randomly actually. We saw the name somewhere, and it seemed like it fit our feeling at the moment. There's been many times where we wish we picked another name, like most bands, but we're not changing it anytime soon.

2. How did this band get started?
Marco and Bryan wrote a few songs and started hunting for a bass player and a drummer. After finding Matt (bass) and going through one drummer, we finally found Jared, and the line-up has been solid ever since.

3. What bands are you influenced by?
Band of Horses, Neil Young, Nirvana, The Beatles, Oasis, Fleet Foxes, Nada Surf, Manchester Orchestra, Kings of Leon etc, etc, etc.

4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Probably going to have to go with Neil Young on this one - the man is as badass as it gets. Also trying to keep up with the Kings of Leon would be one hell of a feat.

5. If you were a furry, what animal would you be? Why that animal?
I will never be a furry.

6. Why should people listen to your band?
Listen to us because we care about what we do, and we hope you will care too.

7. If you were chosen to be in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, what song would you want in the game? How hard do you think it would be to five-star on expert?
Play a real guitar...and don't worry about stars.

8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
I'm not sure that it's very easy to thank somebody when you're crying like a little girl...

9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
Good bands would magically be able to make a living again...without selling their soul.

10. Memorable tour experience?
Playing to two people in NYC...and then playing to a 400 person sold out crowd at Valentine's in Albany within a couple days of each other. Lots of ups and downs in this industry.

11. What does Absolute Punk.net mean to you?
Been a long time reader, and love to watch the site grow. Great to know that ap.net (http://ap.net/) can almost single-handedly get a deserving band the exposure they need.

12. What is your favorite song to play?
Whatever song(s) the crowd can connect to. It's surprising how random it can be depending on who the audience is.

13. What is your vacation spot of choice?
What is vacation?

14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
The Beatles, and anything punk.

15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
The power to convince Jools Holland to invite us on his show.

16. Do you feel that your band has "made it"?
I'm not sure that you can "make it" anymore.

17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
...still have a soft spot for ska music....what??

18. What's your favorite holiday?
My birthday...I don't care if it's a holiday or not, it is to me.

19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
What is this "spare time" you speak of?

20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
We are very good at drunkenly playing to a crowd of two in NYC. VERY good.
