I dont even feel any of Burton's design in the thing. Thats what makes most of his work so interesting, the sense of design. None here. Disappointing me bc eveerytime i heard this video discussed it was "the new killers video, directed by tim burton" everytime! haha.

I wasn't a big fan of this record either, but it's been growing on me for the past couple weeks. "Read My Mind" is a great song, and while there are a few total duds on the album, for the most part it's palatable. This video is great, however, and it makes a great song out of what would otherwise be a pretty boring one. The When You Were Young video came off a little pretentious in my opinion, and the song itself is a little overcooked.

charlie and the chocolate factory was a family movie joke. the river scene alone shows how burton could be losing his edge.
