From what I've read, cloning for research is ok with me. But that isn't an educated opinion - I don't know much about it at all.

Was it ever confiermed if the raelians did infact clone a human? Thats one religion I'd want to join. Their leader is a race car driver! how cool is that?

They never confirmed it

There's this one cult I'm really interested in joining. They're called the Branch Davidians. I see good things in their future.

I think it should be done, however only for disease treatment. But then again, I'm out of my element when it comes to cloning.

I'm pro-life and I would have to say I'm against cloning. Everyone is an individual and should be able to stay that way.

the raelians claim was never proved to be true but they did say that they named "her" (i dont know how to phrase that without it sounding a bit off for me) eve. now, what better way to piss off the religious right? anyway, i am for cloning for medicinal purposes but when it gets into the area of growing bodies purely for the reason of harvesting their body parts, i am against that. and as for pro-lifers, there are more ways to get stem cells than aborted fetuses but since it is 4:30 in the morning, they all seem to have escaped me. when i remember ill be sure to post em.

as long as it's purely for medical research and the like.. I wouldnt want cloned human beings walking around.

i think that cloning for medical research should be done, i mean...you could use clones to find a cure for AIDS, or SARS, or whatever. Cloning shouldn't be done just because you want to have a clone. I'm sure most people that would want to be cloned don't know that if you got cloned, the thing would end up being born as a baby. So you could be 22, but you'd have a 2 month old clone. What the fuck is the point of that? Uneducated fools....

i like the idea of cloning. the possibilities for science and medicine are too valuable to not explore.

So nobody has a problem with farming humans for research purposes?

Most people have problems with the use of animals in research, so I'm surprised that so few people find this a little scary. It poses some pretty serious ethical questions.

I think it comes down to people looking to save themselves. If they become seriously ill, they want a cure and a chance to survive. To me, that's why there's so little objection.
