I think my philosophy teacher loves him--I think he made a reference to him but I wasn't sure if that's what he was really referencing, but then yesterday someone asked what 80's bands he likes and he said he loves The Smiths.

Hmm. It might be. I know its within walking distance of the metro and by the mcdonalds in that area. Its a dimly lit place and has amazing deepdish with the sauce ontop. The wrigleyville hotdog place is aloso amazing.

I work stage at Aragon and The Riv, so I'll be there. Metro/Wrigleyville isn't really near the Aragon, but its a quick train ride uptown.

You should do everything you can to go and see this show. I saw him 2 years ago with the mars volta and that was the best show of my life. I had never seen a singer who performs that good live, it was like hearing one of hid cds but with 1000000000000 times more adrenaline

They all sound incredibly awful. None of those places were built with loud rock shows in mind. They were built for stage plays and ballroom dancing in the 1920s.

wow, I think you may be a bit short sighted by your free tickets. Sound, location, everything blows at those places. I'm having trouble trying to remember the last time i was at any of those places. Congress = NIN (am going next week for Naked Raygun and Blue Motherfuckin' Meanies) Aragon = Green Day/Living End, Riv = Rancid/Tiger Army or Flogging Molly/Mighty Mighty Bosstones/Tosser's.

Bottom lounge was fantastic, i really miss that place. Beat Kitchen isn't a bad replacement though.
