ok, make fun of me all you want, but i'm going to make a cd w/ a bunch of songs on it for my girlfriend. she just left for college and i'm leaving too. the schools are far away and i wanted to make her this cd. anyway, the songs are gonna be about leaving and love and corny stuff like that. if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them. songs i've been thinking of:
starting line - best of me (acoustic)
lagwagon - brown eyed girl (she has brown eyes)
yellowcard - rocket
early november - come back
dashboard - anyone, anyone
ani difranco - both hands (she just likes that song, so what the hell)
anyway, hook me up w/ some ideas, cause i'm a retard. thanks

i know. i didn't say i was making a mixtape for myself. if i was, there'd be a better variety. but she's not exactly mrs. hardcore. and i don't need to buy better music, i DO have taste believe it or not. so start suggesting, thanks.
oh, and i had going away to college, just forgot it.

sorry, but i think a lot of people in this forum might disagree. but it's not like that's all i listen to. i'm sure we probably listen to a lot of the same stuff (as much as you might deny it). but whatever.

Seth man, while I agree that you do put people down in most(or 99%) of your posts, I need to agree with you, The Starting Line is horrible. And no one can go off on me, because I do 2 things that gives me a viable opinion. 1) I listen to OTHER Drive-Thru bands, and admit so willingly. and 2) I listen to useless pop-punk bands, much like the Starting Line, but with talent.
So, in conclusion, TSL sucks, and there is nothing you can do about it. Except maybe tell them that one day, they will grow pubes.

the funny thing is, that three years ago, i was you. i thought nofx, dkm, pennywise and bad religion were the only good music in the world. i still listen to BR, well because theyre aewsome. but i outgrew the rest, well because the music is terrible and for little kids who feel like being all rebellious and shit. hopefully one day you see the light, little one.

As close-minded and naive as Seth can be about music, some bands just plain suck. Seth's problem is that he doesn't realize that he doesn't need to tell people this in every single thread. I listen to a pretty broad range of music, very little of which is covered by this board. When people talk out of their asses and say that "---" is the album of the year, I'll correct them. But, if someone is just asking for suggestions, you don't really need to rip on them.
