i pretty much hate all books thanks to school so it never even crossed my mind to actually buy a harry potter book although a few of my friends went to barnes and noble at 11 last night in full costume to play harry potter games before the book came out at 12. haha yea my friends have issues.

Harry Potter really isn't THAT great of a book....It really pisses me off when people call it "the best book of alltime". they only say that cause they are ignorant, and haven't read any GOOD books. Its a fuckin fad, like any other fad, and it will die like any other one, with the stupid 7 year olds hanging on to it last. Its always those 7 year olds who drag it on way too long (currently babysitting kids who bought another pokemon game, its like their 10th)

Well to be honest it's getting kids to read which is definitely nothing that anyone should be complaining about. I read my first one when I was in seventh grade, before which time I had little or no interest in reading whatsoever. Now I read all the time and the reason for this, is me picking up a Harry Potter book and realizing it wasn't too bad. So in that aspect, Harry Potter offers quite a bit. I'll agree it isn't, by any stretch of the imagination, a literary masterpiece. But then very few things are. It does however get kids (and many adults) into reading again.

im reading it... i just fniished chapter 6, but fuck my friend he looked at the back of his brothers book and told me which character dies. i hate it when he does that shit to try and be funny. damn those people that listen to rap.
