I dont know if this is a good idea or not, but some people showed interest in learning or understanding this idea of baseball a little more. I'm not sure who understands the idea or not, but I know a couple people (split, left) know a thing or two. (sorry if i missed someone)
I just searched and found these two pages that I think are a decent start.
link 1 (http://www.stephent.com/jays/sabr.html)
link 2 (http://www-math.bgsu.edu/%7Ealbert/papers/saber.html)
I figure everyone likes wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabermetrics)
and now websites for your use:
baseballprospectus.com
hardballtimes.com
fangraphs.com
baseball-reference.com
baseballthinkfactory.com
yup.
Ask questions, post analysis, do some math, but most of all, keep the discussion intelligent.
This is the time in baseball when I get back into my statistical ways and im real excited.
