So lately I have just been at a loss when it comes to discovering new music. I know this site is full of it, but it's also full of alot of bullshit.

So I need new music. Anything. For the love of God, I will listen to anything thrown my way. I like to check out albums in their entirety without knowing a single thing about a band. Just sit from cover to cover and listen to every song and deduce how I feel. So recommend me good starting albums from whatever band you throw out there.

Lately I have been jamming and really enjoying:

Everytime I Die - New Junk Aesthetic
The Swellers - Ups and Downsizing
Lydia - Assailants
Jeff Buckley - Grace
The Reign of Kindo - Reign Of Kindo EP

Maybe that will give you an idea of more or less what I'm looking for.

Cheers.

I don't really think this is really what you're looking for, but why not?

There's a new Canadian band that I really like, named Aetherborn. They have four songs up on their ReverbNation, and an EP coming soon.

gotta love the double drummers.

I've been into a lot of progressive and post-metal lately.

Cynic - Traced in Air
Callisto - Noir
Between the Buried and Me - Alaska

Basically, really complex and melodically beautiful music with a lot of intense brutality. Cynic's latest album in particular is out of this world, so amazing.

The "Houdini" & "Bullhead" albums are excellent first choices to listen to, if you are new to the Melvins. They're an excellent choice anytime really.
