I'm quite big on post-punk type stuff. So, if you're open to that, check out The Chameleons -- Script of the Bridge, For Against -- Echelons, December, The Cure -- Disintegration, The Fall -- This Nation's Saving Grace, The Infotainment Scan, The Real New Fall LP, The Sound -- From The Lion's Mouth, The Church -- Starfish, Priest = Aura.
If you've never checked out The Smiths, start with Meat Is Murder and The Queen Is Dead. Other stuff I'd give as random recommendations:
65daysofstatic -- The Destruction of Small Ideals
This Town Needs Guns -- Animals
Karate -- Pockets (really just for the first few songs)
At The Drive-In -- In/Casino/Out, Vaya
Electronic -- Electronic
Unwound -- Leaves Turn Inside You
Morrissey -- Beethoven Was Deaf

Anthony Green - Avalon
Moneen - The Red Tree
Anadivine - Self-Titled
Kaddisfly - Set Sail the Prarie
Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer - Jalopy Go Far
Hope you like some of them, assuming you don't have them! :D

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Burn-Down-The-Charade/114765700627
Music is an experience, a harmonious accord encompassing the entire body, each wave of sound rolling against our corporeal core as if we are accrual, floating atop the ocean. Burn Down the Charade, an indie space-rock double act from Phoenix, AZ is comprised of Sean Herring and Daniel Smith. Their sound is so rich, textured and thick it is nearly tactile. Fresh from the release of their first album Revelations & Revolutions, which represents three years of collaboration and growth. From their beginnings with the metal influenced guitar riffs and drilling drums melded with the heady, dream like choruses of No Road Home, phasing into the melodious intensity of the vocals in Believe What you Know Burn Down the Charade is a band marked by a maturation and resonance unlike any other ensemble.
Their unique sound notwithstanding Burn Down the Charade represents a philosophy behind the music, a message, and reminder that music represents us all, that the songs and melodies are a part of our souls, that music is an auditory expression of our emotions. Along the journeys and tribulations of life, Sean and Daniel have captured the essence of the struggle, of loss in love of joy in companionship and triumph. The tunes challenge and coexist with the lyrics to create a web of synapses thickening the meanings and emotions behind the songs. As is typified in Will you Lead?, a haunting plea to those we love to embrace what is important in this world which ebbs against the sinuous resonance, and the nostalgia of Brilliant Kids a standard for the anti-hero who’s lyrics dance atop the marching melody.
Though Burn Down the Charade has been making music for the past three years, it is in the release of their first album, in April 2010 that they have begun to promote their music. As they have moved through the creative process, they have maintained online following, choosing sites like myspace.com/burndownthecharade to promote and release their music. As of July 2010, they have been visited 600,000 times and are friends with nearly 100,000 people. Working in conjunction with Brian Herring they have recently released a viral four part video interview giving in-depth history and insight into the new album Revelations & Revolutions.
Beyond the music and message of Burn Down the Charade are the creators, Sean Herring and Daniel Smith two childhood friends who throughout the distances, trials and tribulations have maintained not only a friendship but striking musical collaboration. What is most surprising is that the musicians themselves do the entire musical recording personally. From their humble beginnings in Daniel’s one bedroom apartment, nicknamed “The Cave,” Sean and Daniel maintain total creative control and are the sole influences and creators of their sound. It is then unsurprising that Burn Down the Charade represents such a unique and personal sound that continues to grow and mature as its creators do.
