Ok, my first warped tour ever will be thursday. Im really excited. But I need a little help(in particular from people who have went this year already). What's the policy on bringing backpacks and water in with you? I heard there was lockers or something that you could stash your stuff in, but there went that many or something. What about food prices? Are the prices outrageous? Should I eat before I come and just hold off till after I leave?

This Warped Virgin thanks you in advance.

There is a place you can pay for them to hold your shit and sometimes there is a free place it all depends on the venu. Normally the venu makes the rules when I went last year I had a gallon of water and they let me take it in but i had to take the cap off so that didnt last very long.

they give you water in cups, which is not good if the venue is on grass. because dirt will accumulate rather quickly in the water. last year, a cup was 3 bucks. There are lockers, but I didnt use em last year so i dont know what they're like. I don't usually bring anything except money...so i can't help much.

when i went you couldnt have any large bangs like a backpack and you could only have one unopened bottle of water. water cost like 4 bucks and food was twice that.

why is water so fucking expensive? for something so abundant, it should be a hell of a lot cheaper (possibly free?).

people are too greedy these days...

Each venue is totally different. I advise you to call the venue ahead of time and ask what is allowed. I saw tons of backpacks at Warped yesterday, but I know that they were searched for food before allowed into the venue. Also, the pricing of food is different for each venue because that's independent of the actual Warped Tour. However, you can expect to get raped up the ass when paying for food and water.

Prices at the Kansas City Warped Tour:
Hotdog: $4.00
Water: $4.50
Soda: $4.75
Sandwich: $4.75
Nachos: $4.75
Beer: $6.25

Almost all venues will let you bring in a messenger bag/purse, although some might not allow backpacks. And they generally allow one bottle of water, but they like to take the caps off of them because they are apparently "weapons." I still haven't figured that one out. I've never heard of any venues letting you bring in food.

at dallas last year, if you had a bottle of water and it was open when you were going thru the gate, theyd make you pour it out. basically they wont let any open containers in. i guess to keep alcohol out.

a bottle of water was 4 bucks buyt they had water fountatins where you could refill them, so i only bought one and just refilled it a bunch. i think i had like a pizza hut mini pizza for like 4.50 or 5 bucks. i think they allowed backpacks in.

Yeah they always have water fountains and hoses where you can cool off and get free refills...although the water might be warm and taste funny. The level of overheating and dehydration quickly rises to the point where you don't give a shit what the water tastes like.

And I forgot my favorite pricelistings from yesterday's Warped:
Cup of Ice: $1.50
Bag of chips (the little tiny bags): $2.50

Goodtimes, hotpants.

Thanks, much appreciated. I should probably call Riverbend before I go tommorow. Thanks again.
