Drive-Thru is giving away a guitar (http://www.drivethrurecords.com/dewsplash/) signed by both bands to whomever votes the most times for both bands.

I LOVE iata. They really deserve to win this-amazing band. I want to enter this contest but it's only if you do it for halifax too not just IATA.boooooooooo. IATA fans have been voting like crazy and i love it. The first week was crazy and cramped up my fingers from clicking but it's worth it. I do think this contest is fixed for Drive-Thru. Last year, OVER IT definitely should've won the contest (since I was at the show) and soooo many people left after they left and barely anyone was there for Hellogoodbye..

well first off, when IATA's album came out over a year ago, they didn't do CRAP to promote it. & now the album is pretty much dead in the water (unless this contest goes well for them, that would be a miracle for these dudes)
& drive-thru pretty much straight up denied IATA the video they were contractually OBLIGATED to give them, because they were spending all their money on the HGB, TEN & halifax albums. the video IATA just finally released the did FOR the dew contest & its a crappy live video, not the real one they deserve (and i doubt DTR paid a dime for it).

everything IATA's done they've accomplished themselves, because they're amazing dudes.

I couldn't agree more. I'm glad to see than people realize that this is going on. I can't believe how they treat them. I wish IATA could get off there and go to a good label (epitaph maybe? they actually WORK AND PROMOTE their bands). so sad too considering that album is amazingg

i don't think IATA is going to switch labels, sadly (i don't know if DTR has them roped in or not). they deserve SO much better.
FINALLY they have a street team starting up, but i'm not sure how well its going to be run. but its better than DTR's street team (they should just call it an e-team because they don't send out enough stuff for actual street work).

brandon reilly pointed out how iata's album was too good for drive-thru. one of the main points of entering this contest to begin with is to try and get a new van finnally which dtr never really offered any assitance on.

although, they did come through for the movielife post revalation and probably still support vin to the fullest, but its getting a little rediculous how little they seem to be doing for them.

i vote for i am the avalanche everyday. drive thru has screwed them over so much since they've been around. they are the hardest working dudes ever and right now they are touring without a trailer (drive thru wont even help them with that). I'm sure a few of the other bands deserve the exposure as well, but my vote still goes to the avalanche. if they win this, maybe drive thru will finally get off their asses and get them a video and actually DO SOMETHING for this band. im so proud of them for getting this far without the support of their label. viva la avalanche.

I was at the taping of the IATA show w/ Fallen From The Sky and Vinnie was the shit as always. Kinda felt bad for FFTS though since 90% of the crowd left before they even started playing. My votes have all been for IATA, but I like Halifax too and I was so happy/surprised that Brandtson made this list. They are so underrated by the public and mostly unheard of. So my pick is IATA, but if Brandtson won I would be just as happy.

MAC - APPLE+SHIFT+3 -- it saves the screenshot to your desktop

PC - the PRINT SCREEN button at the top right hand corner -- open up a program like photoshop and PASTE

Anyone who reads richard and stephanie's interviews knows that they don't screw their bands, they screw themselves. If you tour enough and promote yourself than dtr will be behind you once you get a good fan base from touring. Just like Hellogoodbye, halifax, and ten have all toured their asses off. But it's hard to promote a band who hasn't gone out and proven themselves.

On other notes I hope I win the guitar that would be so cool.

I highly disagree with this. I Am the Avalanche have been touring excessively. They never got put up on any amazing tours. They always did everything themselves. And if they do win this contest, they deserve the credit not drive thru. i can't believe how long ago this record came out for them and now they are just starting to talk about the guys. dtr was my favorite when i was younger because all of my favs were on there but now it just seems so different of a label. i hope it all works out in the end and dtr starts to promote them when they win the contest

IATA has been on the road since before their album came out consistently. their album alone speaks for itself, it was one of the best albums of 2005, in my opinion. drive-thru has their priorities screwed up & IATA gets screwed over as a result.

one of the other bands is offering merch to the person that votes the most each day. another bribe? kids will vote regardless of what is being offered to them. i doubt someone who didnt like i am the avalanche or halifax would spend all that time voting for a guitar signed by those bands.
