I feel like I've been reamed up the ass

I just got back from the Warped Tour, and while there were many bands that owned my ass today, one in particular earned the grand title of Master Ownage. That's right, the one and only Rancid. Jesus H. Christ, they fucking pwned me. It's hard to explain the sheer awesomeness of the experience. I'm not worthy.

Other highlights:
AFI covered Poison's "Nothing But a Good Time." While this sounds rather scary, it was actually pretty rockin'. No really. The only thing that sucked is they made the audience choose between Poison or "Total Immortal." Those ass ninjas chose Poison.

The Used didn't sound like shit. I was surprised. I guess they've cleaned up their live show. Touche.

Mest and Simple Plan closed the main stages. I left after AFI. It's shocking that Simple Plan can close the Warped Tour over AFI or Rancid.

Thrice is the nicest band. Ever. I mean it. Their set was teh rock as well.

Epitaph is handing out some rather sweet baggies full of stickers and cds and posters and other fun stuff. Stop by their booth early before they run out.

And Less Than Jake was great, Brandon.

I pretty much went back and forth between the two main stages all day, seeing as how nearly all of the bands were excellent.

And yes, it was free. Absolutely and totally free! But they ran out quickly!

Despite the sweltering heat, the show was great. The only thing to make it better would be to see Brand New, but they're not joining until July. However, I got to see AFI before they left the tour. So yeah. Goodtimes, hotpants.

I cannot stress enough how incredible they were. They played all the old stuff, including my personal favorite, Journey to the End of East Bay. I can die happy now.

I was suprised they didn't play "She's Gonna Break Soon." It's certainly not one of my favorites but I figured they'd play it since it's been on MTV2 and stuff.
