Yeah it's basically how the 360 went and how the PS3 will go. Pre-orders went fast at stores like EB and Game Stop, but if you REALLY need one the day it comes out you could wait overnight outside one of those stores.

ya, it should be fairly easy to get one...i got one reserved and they only did 15 reservations, they said that was just to be safe and they should have a lot more on release.

well, the show would probably get out at like... 10:00. maybe later. then its about 50 minutes from downtown boston to salem, nh... so if we hit no lights and go probably 80mph strong the whole way, the best i could hope for is to get to the store at about 11pm. if they only have like 15-30 consoles, im sure they'll all be gone by then. id rather not take my chances. i can see thursday some other time and i'm seeing +44 on the 19th anyway

I think 360 getting the next banjo/kazooie game seals the deal that we will never see a Rare game (at least while microsoft has an exclusive) on the virtual console. Hopefully they do something for the 360, although the 007 license is now owned by EA, so thats not happening.

Comes out this Sunday the 19th. It was set up at the EB Games near me so I went down there with Anton and some other people tonight and played it. I had played it before at the Nintendo Fusion tour. It's alot of fun. I love it simply cuz of the new control system. Can't wait til Sunday now (and I'm not even getting my own system, haha).

I think 360 getting the next banjo/kazooie game seals the deal that we will never see a Rare game (at least while microsoft has an exclusive) on the virtual console. Hopefully they do something for the 360, although the 007 license is now owned by EA, so thats not happening.

Wow I'm pretty surprised about Excite Truck. My friend was raving about it after he played it about a month ago. Wii Sports with a 7.5 (or whatever the exact score was) makes sense. It's real simple but just a basic way to show off the new controls. And in the end, it's still alot of fun.

i really really want a second opinion on excite truck. i mean, i can see the solo mode getting a little boring after doing everything, but id assume that multiplayer would give it a longer lifespan.

ya, its part of the online service, much like xbox live arcade. I think its something like $3 for NES, $5 SNES, $8-10 N64. But it also has genesis, Turbo Grfx and some other stuff.
