Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_Out_Boy%27s_fourth_full-length_album) (yeah, we know how reliable that is) has an article up (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_Out_Boy%27s_fourth_full-length_album) on Fall Out Boy (http://www.absolutepunk.net/falloutboy)'s "upcoming" album. The page has a supposed tracklisting and album title. Take it as you will.

Thriller would definetly generate a lot of buzz on the band. But I think the new album alone will create enough buzz. FOB is pretty creative when it comes to song titles, I am sure they could come up with something just as catchy/clever/original/whatever for an album name too.

I have seen a lot of the titles brought up in various interviews, FOB blog posts or MTV articles. I assume it's a compilation someone made of all of those. I know on the fall out boy livejournal, someone went through all the articles and interviews they could find and posted all the as-of-yet confirmed tracks. This list has one or two additions. Seeing that it's only 10 songs, I am going to assume it's a list in progress.

I can confirm that this wikipedia link is at least somewhat reliable. Thoughtit might be interesting to post, so whatever.

KidLightning
11/08/06, 10:49 PM
knowing fall out boy and how much respect they would have for an album like thriller i think the only way they'd name it that is if it was an acronym. so maybe it's going to be T.H.R.I.L.L.E.R. now let's all speculate as to what that would stand for . . .

So Jack's Mannequin is going to open for Panic in their arena tour...and then Fall Out Boy for their next arena tour?

I doubt that.
That tour sounds more like a fan's wet dream than anything else.
Also, it is too similar to the FBR and friends tour for when Fuct came out.

Gay is not a synonym for shitty better make it to the final album...

wow. you are sold incredibly easily. so if panic! named their album sgt. peppers you would have respect for them? im sorry, but i would fucking pissed. naming your album thirller isnt AS bad just because its a single word nad not as pigeonholed as saying Sgt. in my opinion, fall out boy should quit being a label whore and take out 2 or 3 smaller or unsigned bands on tour. they're fucking gigantic. they've taken those bands out before - jack's mannequin is opening up for one of the hottest bands in music right now every single night to sold out mid-sized arenas. why not let a smaller, hard working band open up for fall out boy, so they can catch a break just like this band did not too many years ago?

and a club tour would be insane. so would getting tickets.

I think it will make the album.

Fall Out Boy has always had rather blatant innuendo in their lyrics, to the point that when the Kidz Bop people made noise about maybe covering Dance, Dance people had a mild stroke. I don't think the band would let it's younger demographic dictate its titles or content because, though they certainly have developed one, a younger fanbase was never what Fall Out Boy's music was intended for.

If that made any sense... O.o It's late.

A band from atlanta called treephort tried to do publicity stunt and get sued by metallica and named their cd "kill em all" it didn't work. So I highly doubt a band of FOB stature will do that with MJ.

I've heard the tour rumor for a while. But I don't know that I ever heard Cobra in there. Though, it would def. make that show amazing. I went to the FBR and friends tour, and I'd totally go again. That had to be one of my favorite shows ever.

Gay is not a synomyn for shitty. ;)

Someone is going to kill me for that. I can just feel it.

Actually, it made me laugh. And I don't laugh that easily.

I swear to God, some people posting here are so stupid.

THIS ISN'T THE OFFICIAL TRACKLIST.

These aren't the only songs that will be on the album, and I'd be surprised if all of these supposed titles really did make it onto the album.

And "I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Getting You Off"... I wouldn't be surprised at all if that song title made it to the album. Ohnoez, a slightly inappropriate title for 12 year olds... they'll get over it.

pete mentioned a club tour on fobrock.com

I already respect Fall Out Boy way more than pretty much any other pop-punk band out there because of their underground roots and DIY way of doing things, but to do a club tour when you're the biggest band in the scene and potentially the biggest band in the world is fucking awesome. That's called credibility, folks. (And for those who disagree, let's be real. This isn't a hardcore band, let's give them credit where credit is due.)

People say that these titles are trying to hard, but every single one of them really makes me want to listen desperately... they aren't just witty, they're fucking genius. I'm looking forward to this CD, and if FOB do get a little darker or heavier I would be very excited. I think that by selling so many records, they hopefully have earned the right to make a darker CD from their record label. As sad as it is, I truly believe that being on a major label meant FOB cutting off the better songs from their last record (i.e. Hand of God, Music or the Misery) in favor of more poppy ones. We'll see I guess...

The only way I would love FOB more was if they brought Say Anything along with them... that would be absolutely insane. Just saying, Pete has been complimenting Max in the press quite a bit lately...

we've heard most of those titles before. live versions of "We Don't Take Hits, We Write Them"
and "I Liked You A Whole Lot Better Before You Became A Fucking MySpace Whore" have been floating around since pre-FUCT. P3TARD has said "Gay Is Not A Synonym For Shitty" countless times at shows. "You Can't Spell Star Without A&R" has been a title since MTV caught onto FOB and was harassing them about their next cd. and I swear if Pete titled a song, "It's Hard To Look This Cheesy But I Keep My Arms So Breezy" I will have lost all respect for him and for the rest of the band not arguing with that title.

We could argue for days about the song titles and what the album is going to be called but I say we all sit tight wait for the official tracklisting to be released. These AP arguments can be so stupid sometimes. I think I am the only person who read every post and laugh to myself, and before people jump down my throat I understand I DON'T have to come on AP. I just think people like to find pointless things to argue about.
