Originally Released May 9th On Fueled By Ramen Records
Though the concert of concept albums died down after '05, Forgive Durden proved that with poetic lyrical talents, wild imaginations, a ring-true message, and catchy, techinical rock, a record with a story can still knock you on your ass. Off kilter riffs and a vast array of genre sounds made this a musical adventure not soon forgotten. Originally Released October 17th On Capitol Records
Kevin Devine shows he hasn't missed a step with his major label full-length debut. Continuing to teeter between political satire, blunt self-exposure, and stream of consciousness, KD keeps his membership in the singer/songwriter elite.
30. Portugal. The Man- Waiter: "You Vultures!" (115pts)

Originally Released January 24th On Fearless Records
If The Mars Volta hailed from Seattle and didn't do the whole "quit drugs" thing, they would have written this record. Literally all over the place, these experimental soundscapes are a refreshing, psychedelic playground for the temporal lobe.
