we find it hard to break the chains
traditions holds us tight
we cannot take away the pains
placebos hold the silent fight
and until now
through our skin and
through our blood
we existed by trying to hide
from what we feared to understand
from true potential
for we find it hard to understand the world
we look for signs of life -
through the saints and through our sins
yet the word has kept us tight lipped
so through our skin
and through our blood
we start to exist by breaking free
no more fear - no more sin
just the process in trying to learn
to become a better man
potentially we can be everything
traditions holds us tight

placebos hold the silent fight
and until now
through our skin and
through our blood
we existed by trying to hide

from true potential
