Yes there is this underlying question of "Who was the first PUNK ROCK band"? But lets not go there, so what do you guys prefer, do you tend enjoy the European influence or the Americas??Opinions, what side of the coin do u tend too sway towards?

***For me its hard because there are alot of great influential bands from both, so I guess I am on both sides of the fence.I would choose the DAMNED before the RAMONES!But I would choose BLACK FLAG before X!Lets hear em people!!!

have em both, and yes i would say the damned and dead kennedys are some of the best!they are definitely a tough act to follow!

amazing album, yes. Punk album? not a chance.k tunes, like White Riot, but by the time London Calling rolled around they were past their punk days.

how about the replacements or husker du? certainly not the first, but the bands that put minnesota on the map for sure, and for that matter, showed the world the midwest can rock

I'll say honestly, it depends on my mood. I'll say without a doubt when I feel like listening to some anarcho punk or oi, its most likely a Euro band on the radio, otherwise its most probably a US band. Funeral Dress and Demob FTW
