Any Libertarians out there?
If there are we need to promote our cause! We believe in freedom and total freedom. Not an anarchistic society, but a society without unnecessary laws. We wouldn't have any taxes either except for defense. You all should look into libertarianism. It's a great philosophy.

I agree with many Libritarian ideas, but here's the problem: it won't happen. A vote for a Libritarian, or any third party, is a wasted vote. It's better to compromise and go Republican than to end up with a Democrat in office. Third parties just aren't effective in the political system that we have.

Although libertarians are good, the vote goes to waste. I'd rather just vote Repub like Stamin

I totally understand what you are saying. But if you want the party to grow then you should vote and promote it. Other countries have alot of parties. Why shouldn't we?

The thing is that I dont think we want it to grow. If it got any bigger, it would just lead to the opposite of what we want: dominations of the US government by the Democrats. With the conservative vote split, they would dominate nearly everywhere. It would be great if things keep going the way they are now (Democrats in disarray, losing votes) and someday it was Republicans vs. Libritarians, but third party votes just cause the election to go the opposite way that you want it to.

There are multiple parties in canada, and it works out fine, or as well as any government can.

yeah, not having taxes wouldn't really work out, you have to have some. but i think that with a smaller government, there would be less government spending, and thus smaller taxes. and also, they could do away with haveing to pay fees and licenses for every little thing you want to do...big government blows.

you are an idiot. not all libretarians are conservatives. while the republcian part DOES provide more economic freedom, it is considerably harsher on social legislation. maybe you dislike the robin-hooding of the left, but the right enforces oppression of homosexuals in america, wont allow abortion, and refuses to permit usage of marijauna.
END THE MYTH! THE RIGHT DOES NOT HAVE A MONOPOLY ON FREEDOM!

Yeah, the Republican party is SOO bad. They don't allow the government to steal from working America and give to lazy crack addicts with no jobs. They don't allow the government to get involved in church matters like marrying people. Plus they won't allow people to kill their children!
Man-o-Man! What bad things will they do next!

I don;t think thats what he was saying. Just the withstammin probably wouldn't agree with the libertarian party.
And from my persepective there is only one scenario in which no taxes could work and that is when people begin working for eachotehr, rather then themselves. But seeing as the libertarian party preaches capitalism, that dosn't seem likly

yeah, having no taxes would probably not work out...less taxes would be good though (lower taxes for everybody)

there needs to be better acountability as to where congress spends our tax dollars, that would cut down on the waste, and then make the resulting taxes lower.
