Hot Rod Circuit (http://www.hotrod-circuit.com) has titled their new album The Underground Is a Dying Breed, and it is set to hit stores on March 20th, 2007 via Immortal. The band is currently recording the album at frontman Andy Jackson's home studio, and Tim O'Heir will be mixing the record. "The band is so excited about the record," says Jackson, "The Underground Is A Dying Breed has a very raw, live feel. It is a little more stripped down and more classic Hot Rod Circuit. We really took our time writing and kind of found ourselves on this record...we became Hot Rod Circuit."

I saw these guys open up for Piebald and they were very boring.

yeah, they are really boring live. i hate to admit it, but i saw them open for somebody (i want to say motion city) at the ottobar a few years ago, and i actaully fell asleep in the balcony - literally, fell asleep.
but this band is still incredible, and one of the most underrated in this scene. PUMPED for the new record.

I've seen them a handful of times...never anywhere close to boring. They always have tons of energy and put on a great show.

i think ive seen hrc 15 time. im not bragging to say im a more hardcore fan or anything, but not one of those 15 or so times has been less than stellar. and ive seen them with all sorts of lineups, with poorman drumming, with the extra guitarist who was with them for a few years, i saw jays last show with the band (which was unplugged and absolutely phenomenal)...and all the other variations of the band theyve had in the past 2 years, all of which were a good show. hot rod circuit has never left me down.

If you think HRC is boring, come see them in New Haven, CT. You will take back that statement in a heartbeat. I've been going to seem them for the past 5 years, and not once in those 30 or so times i've seen them have i thought they were boring.

This should be a real good album. If you think their boring, just watch Casey on Guitar. He's never boring on stage.
when i saw them on tour with straylight run, they were very good but i dunno just didn't have any enthusiasm.

the first time i saw them was in 2001 with midtown and thrice...thrice was the first opener, midtown was the headliner. i left that show more excited about HRC than anybody else...very excited to hear the new album.
