hey for any of you that play guitar..
have you ever repainted one or got it done somewhere? i just got a new fender jag-stang at a pawn shop (well its actually pretty used) and the paint is all chipped up and stuff. i was just wondering if any of you guys had any info about getting it repainted? is it something better left to some sort of professional or whats the deal? thanks

Take it to a guitar shop and ask them to fix it. If you try it your self you could ruin the finish

get about 25 bottles of nail polish, a small bowl to pour it all in, and a paintbrush.

Yea, take it to a pro, nail polish and spray paint or any other kind of paint you will have will undoubtley look horrible, fell insanley uneven and will probably ruin the wood fucking up any tone whatsoever you got from your guitar.

Just curious, what pickup configuration is it and maybe what wood(if you know).

its basswood...
there's just a generic humbucker down at the bridge and then a vintage style fender pickup at the neck

i wanna buy a seymour duncan invader to put down at the bridge

I Got a scratch & dent tom delonge surf green strat. And it has this medium size chip on it. I asked someone at a guitar shop about it and they said you could problly use car paint. But otherwise it would cost a few hundred dollars. Plus the rare color of paint i needed. Im just not going to bother.
