I think all the n00bs to the site need to start expanding their horizons. FOB and P!ATD have had enough press time recently, so lets look at some other music.
A Silver Mt. Zion- Post-rock side project from the band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. This band is utterly amazing and everyone should do themselves a favor and check some of their stuff out.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor- Amazing group that took me by surprise one night and I have been hooked ever since. If you're into 30 minute songs, then they are for you.
Blackpool Lights- Former Get Up Kids guitarist puts together a spectacular group whose debut has, in my own opinion, not received its fair share of praise. Please check them out.
Kaddisfly- Portland, Oregon birthed this band and I am glad they did. For a live show like no other you'll see, please check this band out.
Math The Band- Just a good time and fun to listen to. If you're into weird styles and even weirder lyrics.
Neutral Milk Hotel(RIP)- Jeff Magnum as the frontman made this band something else. Since the break up, no words have been heard from Jeff, but the legacy of NMH still lives on.
Mozart- Everyone should have a little classical music in their lives. Do youreslf a favor and listen to anything from Mozart, Bach, Debussy, Tchaikovsky or Haydn. You will not be let down.
I'm not gonna link anything, cause let us be honest here. If you cannot find any of the music from the bands or composers listed here, then you're a lost cause.
