How does this site pick which albums it reviews. I really don't get it at all. I've been waiting to see a Ben Kweller review, one that i think users of this site would actually be interested in, and yet I see reviews for Diddy and K-Fed. People no gives two shits about.

Send a copy of the cd to us or something, dude. You can't expect us to just pull the release out of midair.

Guarantee you those reviews have gotten more hits than a Kweller one would. So yeah, just because YOU don't want to read a review, it doesn't mean the world has to agree.

I review the music I have. I have Diddy and (unfortunately) K-Fed. I don't have Ben Kweller.

Well first of all, i actually did read the reviews just because i like to read reviews but this site is called ABSOLUTEPUNK as i recall, and theres absolutely nothing at all punk about diddy. the same might be said about kweller but atleast he is closer to the genre.
One thing though, i didn't think about the fact that you guys probably review stuff that gets sent to you by labels and the likes, and aren't ones for downloading albums so sorry bout that. i can send you my kweller cd if you'll mail it back =) i buy cds so i only have one copy

From our FAQ (http://www.absolutepunk.net/faq.php?faq=complaints#faq_not_punk ):
You're not punk
Correct. We're not. Most of the music we talk about isn't punk either. Our name comes from the music that has evolved out of what was once punk music.

We will always stand by that statement, but for the record, Steve, Diddy didn't evolve from "punk" music. That isn't to say we shouldn't review it, I just thought i'd point that out.

Word. Plus, I love the rap reviews. No other "punk" site does that, so it's a big plus.
