View Full Version : You probably already heard about this
The big record labels are going to be taking you to court if they catch you sharing their shit.......
The main reason they are doing this is because they say music sales are down. Maybe because all they are putting out is total and complete crap.
bah, whatever. won't affect anyone but blink 182 fans and creed followers.

wow they can come to aus and take me to court... then they can take all the money i dont have....
And then the amount of cds i buy a year which is usually only about 10 anyway will drop to 0 and i will continue to download for free off the net........
Its gunna hurt em even more if they go and take everyone to court....

Ia gree ..... im Aust aswell ^_^
Downloading is fine. Sharing is not.
It probably souldn't worry you if you aren't downloading capital records bands or mca. But still it's pretty gay.
They say they can sue you for a million dollars, but if you have a million dollars you'll just buy the cd's not download. So it'll be alot less. The bad thing is now alot less people will share on kazaa and shit so it'll be harder.
Maybe CD sales wouldnt be down so much if they didnt cost $20 to buy.

yea exactly. (but I assume it's pretty expensive to make CDs)
I download stuff, if I like it I go out and buy the CD used for like $9.

it costs 2 bucks AUD to get an EP printed and press over here if u wanna get 500 made.... Thats like a 4 colour cd print and a four page full colour inlay with a back cover also....
Im guessing major labels have there own press and printing machine so it prolly would cost then no more then $1US for each cd (like and album with a 13 page inlay) to be pressed and a cover to be printed.... maybe less....
They make a bucket load even if hardly anyone buys it.....
