I'm extremely shy. This year, I told myself that I would talk to more people this year and be less shy. But i've gone backwards instead. I'm more quiet and reserved than ever. Does anybody have any tips to be less shy? Thank you so much!

just take small steps, like talk to people that you know are in some of your classes about those classes, like "so what did you get on that math test? it was so hard!"

Just, yeah, take baby steps. Like, if you kinda know someone, go sit with them or something. Just like force youreslf into a group of friends, and before you know it they'll actualy be your friends.

One of my good friends back in grade 9 (about your age) decided she was going to be more outgoing to meet more people. As god as her witness, she set off on her mission. I think she's happy with herself. She turned into a crack whore turning tricks in the daycare section of our school for eight balls of coke. She's now 6 feet under. Ah good times.

Haha I just mean more like along the lines of talking to guys and upperclassmen. Anybody that knows me know I'm a goody two shoes and a very strong person, so I'd never get into shit like that.

I used to be shy. Just do it. Like, get over your shyness, just go up to someone and talk to them. Act confident, if you seem confident, they'll love you.

join some sort of a school club? Sometimes its a good way to meet new people with common interests, so its easier to talk to them later on
