I heard about it when it had only been released in England and how it is the scariest movie ever and I really wanted to see it. I'm glad they released it in the US. So yeah.

It's about this virus that activates a gene in humans that make them go BALLISTIC and kill people. It's like bloodlust. And this guy is in a coma and he wakes up and almost the entire city is dead cuz they killed eachother. So he has to hide from them cuz they're tryinng to kill him. And it looks really fucking scary.

ok, i saw it last night and it fucking sucked, you couldnt tell what was going on half the time, and i hate movies that have all the camera shaking shit to make it move really fast, basically the highlight of the whole night was my g/f's hand on my dick

It's supposed to be shaky and fast because the virus makes the killers move inhumanly fast, so they're supposed to blur by the camera and you're supposed to be confused and disoriented. You are obviously not a movie afficiando!

(it) is the best movie ive seen this year and i will be seeing it agian. the soundtrack behind the entire film is the best ive ever heard (even counting vanilla sky). why is everyone confused about the end? it was very explanitory in the middle of the film . if you want a confusing ass movie watch mulholland dr. and if someone ever tries to explain that movie. they are liars.

I saw it tonight and it was fuckin amazing. I didn't find it scary at all, just really creative and suspensful. The only thing I didn't like was with the military soldiers. I dont wanna ruin it for anyone who wants to see it so I wont discuss it

Knew I could count on you to post on this.

I'm gonna declare myself the expert on zombie movies. I have no credentials other than a copious amount of time watching all types of flicks about the undead. My thoughts

- Definite respect to Romero, but without completely ripping him off. He borrowed from Romero, but made it his own with the virus, the quick zombies, etc. Good stuff (if you don't know who George Romero is, go look it up)

- The soundtrack was good because it had Godspeed You Black Emperor (if you don't know who they are, go download "Providence", it's used liberally throughout the movie)

- The camerawork is shaky for a reason. If you were in the situation, how would you act? Would you be all calm and leveheaded? No, you would piss yourself.

- Best movie I've seen in awhile (edging out "Finding Nemo", and I'm not kidding). Zombie movies need to come back into style, but not in the vein of Resident Evil.

I agree entirely. The soundtrack was fucking amazing, ANd it gave away plot points too. Like whenever it played the rip-off enya music, they were safe. the heavy guitar stuff= ZOMBIES!

the movie was great. not just for horror. i really like how it stressed that, yeah, zombies are scary, but whats REALLY scary is man's inhumanity to man. it foreshadows it nicely with the scenes of inhumanity at the start (which are used indeveloping the virus) and thescenes in the military base really drive the point home.

Best movie of 03 so far. Makes Matrix: Reloaded its BITCH!
