almost six months ago, my dad was beating my little sister and i started cussing him out, he grabbed me and tried to pick me up but couldnt so i threw him into the refrigerator and punched him twice in the face and backed off, he didnt do anything, he just went for a ride and came back about two hours later, we havent talked much, but he hasnt touched me or my sister since then

My dad used to beat me and my brother, then when my parents got divorced cuz my mom finally stood up for us, he'd try to be nice or something. My sister left (shes 20) and lives in an apartment by herself and has turned into a total egocentric bitch. I read what you guys are writing and it breaks my heart. my dad has never been physically abusive to any of the kids in the family except when we were little and we got spanked but that wasnt undeserved. it is all just emotional and mental stuff. he'll berate us in front of our friends and we cant say anything back because its basically martial law in this house. he works 24 hour shifts at his job and comes home and screams at us for not cleaning the house top to bottom while he was at work. his friends come over and he talks about how worthless we are while we're sitting there, unable to do anything. unable to defend ourselves because we cant talk back to him. he finds out what we are most insecure about and teases us about it at great length. none of us cry anymore, we dont feel anything towards him. he is just background noise and i doubt any of us would caare if he died tomorrow except for the fact that his paycheck would stop coming. its horrible to think like this about the man who fathered you but its even worse when i have to think that his DNA is in me and i might grow up to be like him.

Everytime I saw her do it I jumped in it. She knows better than to hit me. My little bro is 14, hes big too. Pretty soon he'll hit her back. I have told people. My bitch ass dad sees it too but he doesn't say anything, thats why I moved out. I've told my mom, grandma, guidance counselor, etc. I'm the only person whos not afraid to say anything to her. My bro doesn't want to leave either. I told him I'll have my own place soon and I'll take care of him. MY mom can't do anything about it either.
