What's wrong with it? I either had a really slow connection or the files were huge or its just slow. I guess you can't check the weath or news or surf the web yet. The only you can do is download a couple games and do this Wii friends thing. I have no idea what it is yet haha.

I set up my connection, put in the code since my connection is protected and all that mess, it connected, updated once, and now every time I try to update or anything, it gives me a prompt that there was something wrong with the Wii24Connect server.

I thought the servers were just swamped, but a bunch of people were able to download games and stuff.

Yeah, I tried to make a new connection and going that route, but it didn't work either. Maybe my wi-fi's code got reset somehow or something. I dunno, I gotta look at it again, but I won't be able to until Wednesday night because of business.

I had to enter the WEP and it didn't work the first time it tried to update. I went back and had to put in another security password that it didn't even prompt me for to begin with. After that, it started working fine.

I had on one preorder at Gamestop and I was asked by someoen to help get her one to give to her Fiancee (my friend). Then saturday I got a 10% off all purchases for a day coupon for target. My brotehr was hanging out at Target becsaue his friends were all buy Wiis there. so he waited most of the night. I met up with them in the morning. we got tickets, got food, then went back to target when they opened and we got out wiis for 10% off. Boy is my credit card bill gonna be massive. Last night there was a lot of Wiiing going on. We all made Miis of ourselves wxcept for the buddy that started makign himself then changed it into hitler. It is fun to play baseball then have hitler being the first baseman.

I though your problem was more complex. I has having problems connecting, when i did it was really slow. the second update froze for an hour so i reset, changed my channel on router to 11, then it worked like a charm.

Yeah, mine's the same. But when I know I want online (VC and gaming) eventually, I figure I might as well fix it now then worry about it.

And that sucks about the hotline. Small number of units affected my ass.

So I finally got around to adding everyone who posted a number in this thread, since Zelda has been taking up all my time. I also had this bright idea, that since at 6'1" or so, with the sensor bar at both the top or bottom of my TV I have to point the remote at an angle, I folded up an old receipt and placed it under the bar to make it at an angle. It works rather nicely, because now I can point the remote at the TV instead of at the bottom of the entertainment center.

online play is free, but no games use it yet. The only thing you can do online right now is buy old games from the virtual console or send people messages.

I am sort of confused as to how you would lose it. Is the internet what is messing up some of the systems and if so you'll lose your saved game data when they replace the system?

I want a wii so bad but I am going to wait and figure out if I am traveling or touring this spring. If I am I can't afford to get it and wouldn't be around to play it. But If I stay in town, I can guarantee you I will be getting it.

Mii parade are where some miis that are set to mingle show up. The fun thing about it is lets saw person A is friend with person B. B is friends with C. A does not know C. A Mii from A's can show up on B's parade, then make it's way to C's parade. So your Mii can travel the world hoping from system to system. It is a copy of your Mii though, so it isn't like you lose that Mii. If you want to move a Mii form the parade to your plaza, pick it up and drop it on over. I get a warm feeling knowing that my Hitler Mii is making his way across the world.
