Thursday's Headlining Tour

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!! If this tour doesn't come to Montreal, I'm literally gonna cry! As for taking Murder by Death on tour with them, I think this is an AMAZING decision on Thursday's part. I actually suggested it to them a little while back! Now, I know of the affiliation between both bands, so of course I wouldn't dream of taking amy credit for it... I'm just saying this will be an incredible tour! I suggested touring with Cursive as well, but I guess you can't win 'em all... And FBTMOF should be very, very interesting! I'm anxiously waiting for the tour itinerary!

If this DID end up coming to Milwaukee... the whole time I'd just be thinking "Damn I'd give a kidney for Rise Against and Billy Talent". The only headlining Thursday show to ever come here DID have pretty rad support, though, featuring Head Automatica, Murder by Death, The Bronx, and Piebald. None of those bands being too horrendous, just the fact there were so many kinda dragged down the openers. Piebald got some shit for being the 4th opener, like "CMON WE WANT THURSDAY" but for the most part the crowd was respectful to every band.

FBTMOF is quite possibly the shittiest band ever, HHLL sucks balls and I hope they break up, but MBD rules.

I saw thursday when Minus the Bear opened and it was a relatively small venue. It was a music/bar deal. Fit maybe 250 people I guess (maybe more, I'm horrible at that). But anyway, there was no room to move, it was super cramped/uncomfortable/Suffocating, etc. I guess a lot of venues are like that, but I imagine if Thursday played in the same area at a bigger place it would have been a bit better

i love how thursday's live shows retain the energy of a much harder band than the music on their cd's would lead you to believe. i saw them in portland recently and was glad that they played some of the most energetic songs in their repetoire from every album they've released (except waiting), not just acbtld, and they did a wall of death at one point. so it doesn't surprise me that they're going out with fbtmof and hhll, but i think that will be a freaking amazing show.

and as for the quality of those bands? i'm not a fan of either one so much, but based on their genres, i think it's safe to say that line-up would prove for a fun, interactive show.

Last time HeavyLow came here they played completely half-assed and just pissed me off. Fear Before, one of my favorite bands, had a horrid setlist last night. The new CD is great, but the songs just don't much cut it live. Especially Dog Sized Bird. What the fuck.

I saw HHLL open for poison the well and HORSE the band. Put on a terrible set like you mentioned. However I got their new cd and liked it, so I want to give them another chance. But i disagree: Fear before's new stuff was fantastic when I saw it live. Lycanthropy was amazing live. Energy was top notch.

And doesn't anyone remember the Thursday tour earlier this year: with minus the bear and the #12 looks like you? That's about as odd lineup as it gets. Great show though.

Weak closer with Autumn Leaves Revisited. I don't think anything can really top Jet Black as a closer. And I'm also disappointed there was no Paris in Flames or Cross out the Eyes. Anywho, Thursday and FBTMOF are 2 of my all time favorites, never thought I'd see them together though.
