Seems Will Ferrell doesn't want anything to do with Old School Dos.

"You know, I really liked OLD SCHOOL but it's definitely one of those movies that really doesn't need a sequel. Yet the success of that film makes it almost a foregone conclusion that DreamWorks will try to churn one out. In fact they're currently trying to get one together, titled OLD SCHOOL DOS. The sequel might be destined for the bargain bin though as Will Ferrell says you can count him out. While in London promoting STRANGER THAN FICTION, Ferrell told The Guardian, "Oh, I wouldn't do another OLD SCHOOL" adding, "I would never be behind that one." Ferrell also confirms he turned down a whopping $29 million to star in ELF 2. "I killed the idea of a sequel. I never liked it - $29m does seem a lot of money for a guy to wear tights." Withouth OLD SCHOOL and ELF sequels, Ferrell still has plenty on his plate including STEP BROTHERS with John C. Reilly and SEMI-PRO with Woody Harrelson."

I'm SO glad he didn't do an Elf sequel. That movie is fantastic just the way it is, and a sequel would most likely tarnish its reputation.

If he is against a sequal of Old School, then why is he supporting an Anchorman sequal. I mean their really isn't a need for that.

I mean, I wouldln't mind either, as long as they had the full original main cast.

...also go see Stranger Than Fiction, it was a suprisingly good movie.

he had more to do w/ Anchorman and could see development in that picture i guess, i'd say you can also count Wilson and Vaughn out as well.

i dont think it needed a sequel, but with Will Ferrell, i felt pretty confident about it. now let's talk about the Van Wilder sequel...does anything look worse than this movie?
