I want a Wii for X-mas :)

ATTENTION
Ok, now that i hopefully have your full attention. I'm thinking about getting a Wii with Zelda for x-mas, but am not sure now that i have read about all that error crap and how the wii seems to be having a few issues or what not. What is with this udate stuff and So how does the internet with the wii work? Do i have to buy extra stuff for that to work!? I really want this, but i am am thinking i might wait to have all the bugs fixed. What do you think? also, what colors for the console are currently available? Thank You

P.S. - Maybe it was just Launch Wii's that were having this problem...

The wii's were not the problem. It wasthe online update and it only occured the first day or so. It was due to high volumes of traffic which caused updates to not finish whicch then would make the wii's not be able to get back online. So0o0o you can either ship your wii in and have them fix it or you can get a new one. Though the wii still plays games it was just an online bug, due to this is Nintendo's first online outing and they must not have expected this problem. Although I am sure it's been delt with in some manner so the updates won't do this again.

Also only white console's are available. Each week through 2006 Nintendo will be shipping 200k Wii's,. incase you were wondering about product availablity. The Wii's internet is wireless so you need a wireles srouter OR the nintendo USB wireless transmitter.

Tomorrow. Most stores have had them since about tuesday and have been holding them until Friday.
