The single-player campaign of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops follows the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, as Naked Snake establishes FOXHOUND in an attempt to hunt down the treacherous FOX unit, which has started a bloody revolt in South America. Set in 1970, the game will be the missing link in the ongoing Metal Gear saga, as players will learn more about returning characters such as Para-Medic, Major Zero and Sigint and also witness Naked Snake's greatest tragedy – a loss that sets into motion the events of later games in the Metal Gear Solid timeline.

* Extensive single-player storyline, unveiling a lost chapter in the Metal Gear Solid saga

* New MGS gameplay elements such as the "Surround Radar" system

* Online multiplayer mayhem —Team Death Match, Death Match, and Capture Mission

* Acquire new squad members for use in single and multiplayer modes by connecting to Wi-Fi access points

* Animated cinematic scenes illustrated by world-renown artist Ashley Wood

* Full voiceovers for cinematics, performed by returning cast from MGS3: Snake Eater

Did everybody hear about Chris Kohler (who is wriring for Wired now--whisky tango foxtrot?) giving away the MGS: PO PSP package? Ch-check it out:

I also found out about the contest well after the fact. The only distressing part is that I've written better MGS fan fiction on accident and seeing as how I'd never spend actual money on anything as hilariously terrible as the PSP, it looks like I missed a golden opportunity to make something happen on the MGS: PO front.

Le sigh...

if you use the psp gps with mgs po, you can fight certain rare bosses only in certain locations.

Hah--you're right. I guess I just looked at the picture and assumed that those flaps were parts of a PSP or something.

Thanks: I don't feel as bad about not submitting anything now.
