View Full Version : a few questions about GBA/PSP/DS (and pokemon)

Me and my friends want to buy the new gameboys so we can all play pokemon together.

Which of the systems can link up to play against eachother? I'm sort of feeling a DS, but some of my friends might want the cheapest thing they can get in order to do it. I don't want any of us to buy something that's not compatible. So do GBA, GBA SP, and DS link up together?

It's Emerald, Sapphire, Fire Red, and Leaf Green that are of the latest gen, right?

you cant play wirelessly with gba or gb games on the ds.

I knew about gameboy games, but figured you'd still be able to link up. I guess I'm gonna go with a SP then.

But Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, and GBA micro all function together?

DS's can still do a wired link up though, right?

Theres that new DS Pokemon game, but I hear it stinks. Pokemon Red/Blue Rescue Squad...or something.

Eh, pokemon hasn't really done anything worthwhile other than the classic style RPGs.

DS has two new ones coming out, though. Pearl and Crystal or something.

lol, oh man. They really need to change up the formula. I never beat the third ones because the whole time I was thinking "man, I've played this before. I've BEATEN this before. Twice."

Oh well. Too many sleepless nights were devoted to Pokemon Blue about 8 years ago. Memories...

I wasted my life on Blue, Red, and Yellow. I tried silver but it broke before I could get anywhere and I never bothered.

We all wanna play up because we could bet money on it and shit, and it'd be fun as hell. We'd stick with the originals but we'd all be too bored playing through something we beat when we were little kids... and we'd all just use the missingo cheat to get all our pokemon on level 100.
