"It's a town full of losers
And I'm pulling out of here to win."

You can't beat that.

whole last verse

The highways jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive.
Everybody's out on the run tonight, but there's no place left to hide.
Together Wendy we'll live with the sadness,
I'll love you with all the madness in my soul.
Someday girl, I don't know when, we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go, and we'll walk in the sun.
But 'til then... tramps like us, baby we were born to run

No part of that last verse addresses the title of the thread quite as directly as the last two lines of Thunder Road.

the whole verse very directly says "we've gotta get out of this town."

What do you think Thunder Road is saying?

why are you being so abrasive about this? they cover similar themes, i just happen to think born to run is more desperate and therefore more appropriate for this thread. it's not a big deal

I really didn't mean to be abrasive at all, I'm just curious. I think Thunder Road is the better song, and therefore, considering both songs cover similar themes, that would be the one I would put on a mixtape. But yeah, no big deal.
