I'm just glad I was out of highschool before this "scene" shit started to get out of control. From what I hear, 3/4 of the freshman class this year at my old highschool is scene, or trying to be. When I was in highschool the only people who knew about this kind of music were me and all my friends who I showed it to... and then maybe 5 other people per grade. And out of my whole school there were maybe only 4 REAL scene kids. My graduating class was 890 so I wasn't at a small school.

And now that everyone has to be "politically correct," nobody wants to take the chance of looking like a bad person by not letting their kid do something. And when was the last time a kid actually got spanked? It's been a while because that would be "hitting or beating your child." And one last thing; why would you ask your three or four year old what they want? I dont know if it was just me but when I was a kid I wasn't asked "Do you want to finish your veggies?" I was told to finish them.

Why are you so quick to try to compare? Are you looking for sympathy? A sense of superiority because you've had it harder? It's ridiculous, there is no way to determine who's had it harder or easier. i guess (pwned on the rights line, i didn't realize i was abiding to my own declared personal rights in the first part and invoking the right to speech in the latter).

i just think that the intentinos behind calling someone a n* and calling something gay are completely different - the comparison is a little weak. i would say that the first is a matter of aggression, and the second a matter of neglect. of course there is hateful homophobia, and actions covered under this as horrible as anything - but i believe that homophobia and racism are two completely different, albeit equally as hurtful, scenarios that occur within the scheme of society.
