Actually, the one who thinks he's so smart has failed in his assessment. If he/she would educate himself/herself, he/she would find that the name Anthym, which he so quickly realized is Anthem with a Y changed to an E, has a bit more significance than he ignorantly concluded. Anthym is also the name of a novel about individualism and personal significance by Ayn Rand, one of the most influential and prolific writers of this century. Though the name Anthym does include an E changed to a Y, it is so for a reason (whether or not the critic is educated enough to realize it) rather than merely for the purpose of being clever.

Wow. You're even stupider than I thought.
First, I know who Ayn Rand is, I've read Anthem as well as Atlas Shrugged, and I probably know more about Objectivism and Philosophy in general than you do, so spare me your lecture.
Second, Ayn Rand was a great philosopher, but in my opinion, a horrible writer. Her books, to the extent of character development, device, and writing, were awful. They were merely long-winded and pretentious vehicles for her philosophy. "Influential and prolific" - hardly. But you can still get the points for throwing in some big words, because I'm pretty sure thats all you wanted.
And, oh yeah, I just checked, and this "critic" is "educated enough" to realize that my copy of Anthem is spelled with an "E".
SO take your pseudo-intellectual babble and shove it up your condescending ass.

First of all, I doubt that your "knowledge" of philosophy is as vast as you might think. Furthermore, if we want to compare notes, I have a master's degree in the philosophical area and plan on doing doctoral studies ivy league (likely Princeton) in the next few years.
Second, there are pressings of Ayn Rand's work as both Anthym and Anthem, the latter being most common in recent pressings.
Third, if you dislike Ayn Rand's novels because they are no more than long vehicles for her philosophy, you better start throwing out most of your favorite authors and philosophers as most of their writing functions in the same manner. In fact, most novels out there can be boiled down to the author's manner of expressing his/her philosophical/social/relational viewpoints. Your negative opinion of her writing style, though I disagree with, is your own, and I will grant it to you.
Fourth, I have no intention of being condescending. I merely want to point out that you should check before you criticize. Your original post is far from profound, as it is based on nothing more than your distaste for the spelling of a word you had yet to know the background of. Moreover, I don't think the best way to display your intelligence is to call people "stupider" and tell them to shove things up their ass.
Finally, the entire point of the original post was to get people to check out a video of a band. The video might deserve criticism (as individual opinions are warranted); however, merely writing a band off because of their name does not exhibit an incredible depth of insight into the subject of the current post.
