So... do you believe god(s) exist?

Just one correction...
Agnostic means that you believe in a God, but you don't believe in religion...
The word you're thinking of is Athiest, but you already covered that with the "no" part.
Other than that, I have faith that God exists.

No, that's deism. Agnosticism is when you believe there is no way to prove that there is or isn't a god, and you are unwilling to believe one side or the other. Look it up.

I'm Catholic, but I'm not a practicing one. I only go to church twice a year, and I don't really agree with some of the things that the Catholic church believes in (ex. gay marriage, abortion). I do believe in God though.

Agnostic.
I believe humans can't comprehend things of the 'spiritual' (we do only use 12% of our brains) and that there may be a higher force that to an extent guides us. But I don't know.

Agnostic: belief that there is some 'god' like force out there but does not agree with religion or organzied religion.
Atheist: Does not believe in any form of God at all
It really irked me that you had yes, no and agnostic when yes would be agnostic ("some god") and no would be atheist by definition ("no God")

unknowable) is the philosophical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy) view that the truth value (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_value) of certain claims — particularly theological (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theology) claims regarding metaphysics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metaphysics), afterlife (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afterlife) or the existence of God (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God), god(s) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_%28word%29), or deities (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deity) — is unknown or (possibly) inherently unknowable. Some agnostics take a stronger view that the concept of a deity is incoherent, thus meaningless and irrelevant to life. The term is used to describe those who are unconvinced or noncommittal about the existence of deities (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deity) as well as about other matters of religion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion). Early Christian church leaders used the Greek (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language) word gnosis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnosis) (knowledge) to describe "spiritual knowledge". "Agnostic" came from the union of it to the Greek / Latin prefix a, and was originally coined by Thomas Henry Huxley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Henry_Huxley) in 1869 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1869) to describe his philosophy. Agnosticism is not to be confused with religious views opposing the doctrine of gnosis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnosis) and Gnosticism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnosticism)— these are religious concepts that are not generally related to agnosticism.
Your kinda both right. Either way, schools teach it the way both the OP & I thought it to be. Way to go America....

Agnostic. I think it's arrogant to claim that you know 100% whether there is a god or not. I also think it's pathetic to live your life a certain way out of fear of punishment in the afterlife (see also: going to hell).

yeah, i suppose you're right, and i think it's pretty stupid when people worship due only to fear. i can't say i believe in god 100%, but i try to make myself a better person by helping others. whether god exists or not, i'll still feel good about what i've done.

All this hostility toward those who put their faith in god, jealous perhaps? The people you responded to were not preaching or judgemental to either of you, yet you critize them. What is funny is as "christians" they represented themselves as very unbiased and non-judgemental individuals, proving the christian sterotype false, and what makes that funny is everything you heard about them was just proven wrong and everything they have ever heard about you was 100% accurate.

and i don't get jealous of people who worship in an unproven, illogical being. that is their opinion.

Well you being condescending was completely unnecessary, the best points are always made without insult.
Sure, you don't get jealous of "people who worship in an unproven, illogical being" but you could be jealous of someone who finds a sense of peace and happiness you can never comprehend while doing it. It is the only justifiable reason for you to put someone down, who did nothing but state their opinion.

how did you go from agnostic to atheist? i'm not asking to be a dick it's just, when someone claims to be an agnostic it normally says that they don't really believe in a god, but need more proof that one doesn't exist...i was just wondering what it was that proved to you that god didn't exist?
it's just interesting to me.

alright here is how i can explain this because it has happened to me. i was originally a catholic. events occurred and as i grew older i just saw how illogical it all is, so i decided that i wasnt sure whether a god exists or not. but now, if i'm asked whether i think a god exists or not, i say no i dont think that he does, but truly i am not 100% sure. none of us are 100% sure, but most of us are still, by definition, religious. for me, by definition, i dont think/believe that a god exists so i guess im classified as an atheist. that said, in an argument im going to support the atheist because atheistic views are more logical to me.
thus i consider myself an atheist even though i guess im partially agnostic. i dont know for sure. none of us do.
EDIT: i hope that all makes sense.

The Bible doesn't PROVE anything.. Where are the 33 years of Jesus's life that are not present in the Bible? Was he just not doing anything worth while? The thing that I hate about organized religion is this exactly. There is not way in the world that you can sit there and say that you know that God exists, because there is no substantial proof.. You can however, have faith, but unlike science, faith does not make anything concrete. Religion is one of the things that really interests me and have read tons and tons of different books on religion, regardless if they are of the mainstream or not. They all point to there being a higher being but I think in the end, it comes down to what we make of it..
