At the Cobra Starship (http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=3176&catid=searchresults&searchid=969487) show in Anaheim yesterday, Gabe Saporta performed the Midtown (http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=2437&catid=searchresults&searchid=969485) songs "Is It Me, Is It True?" and "Get It Together" acoustically.

they also played "being from jersey means never having to say you're sorry" which they've never played live.

and they had a whole recording crew record those three songs plus a few other by cobra, that i don't really remember.

If I could get a guarantee he was going to be doing that at all cobra shows, then I would go see them open for cartel. But knowing that this was a sort of rare thing, I doubt I'll go.

it was fun. like everyone else said though, he's saying its over. as soon as gabe said he was gonna play a couple of midtown songs last night, the older crowd got really excited. singing get it together, again was awesome, but i realized in that moment that midtown was never getting back together, oh well

I have I think four or five or six videos from that show. The guy who put that up on Youtube got them from me. If you want them, feel free to ask.

Since Cobra Starship only has about 30 somewhat minutes of material he's most likely do some Midtown in the next few shows Cobra Starship has scheduled since they're headlining. The shows w/Cartel though, very doubtful you'll hear any Midtown.

maybe he wasn't saying that to be an asshole. maybe he just wants people to come to terms with the fact that midtown is done because a lot of people don't seem to realize that.

i'm as upset about it as anyone else but it is what it is and there is no point in acting like there's a chance because he's making it as clear as possible that there is not.

Man, this makes me sad.

If I heard Gabe performing Midtown by himself, it'd be nice on one hand, but incredibly saddening on the other.

This is gonna be difficult to get over. :-(

Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPIQ1Hp2wiY) Being From Jersey Means Never Having To Say You're Sorry. I have both Is It Me, Is It True and Get It Together, but I can't seem to upload it on to youtube. (Probably because they are both over 100 MB). Anyone have any suggestions or want to help me out with this?

I would have loved to have seen this. Midtown is still one of my favorite bands and Forget What You Know is one of my favorite albums. I love their past records as well, but that's the one that I always find myself listening to. I'd definitely go to a Cobra Starship show if I knew Gabe would have been performing some Midtown songs. I find it kind of funny that just about everyone in the thread thinks it's awesome that Gabe performed some Midtown songs at a Cobra Starship show, but not as many people were alright with Tom performing Blink songs at Angels and Airwaves shows. It's just interesting.

Try uploading to Sendspace. I believe the limit is 300MB, but I like it better than rapidshare or megaupload since there aren't any pop-ups and you don't have to wait to download anything.

I have I think four or five or six videos from that show. The guy who put that up on Youtube got them from me. If you want them, feel free to ask.

I am incredibly interested. If there's any chance you could link them or send me the videos through email, let me know. PM me, if you want.

Cobra played really well actually. Gabe said he thought it was their best show ever. The constant smile on his face and the looks of surprise every once in a while made me happy. His backing band is really good.

I think Gabe was just saying what he did because he wants people to come to terms with it.
