I have never considered myself a "politically oriented" individual, yet I felt drawn to these two songs this year.

I live my life via lists. I make lists of things to do, places I want to go, things I want to get, things I want to change, etc. Here at AP I make lists of CDs that have arrived, CDs that I have sent to specific reviewers, reviews that have been written, etc. Therefore, it would seem to make sense that making a favorites list would be a simple thing for this listmaker to accomplish. However, I found this list very difficult and realized in the process that I do not make lists of favorite things. I can't tell you my favorite movie or favorite book or even favorite food.....I just don't categorize my life that way. Instead, I tend to lump favorites into a big group and the flavor of the month depends upon my current mood. Therefore, my list changed several times and it would keep changing if I was allowed to do that.
