The MCR shows I've been to have been pretty amazing, but obviously the bigger fan you are, the more likely you are to enjoy yourself (or at least, you're more likely to go into it with the expectation of enjoying it). If you've never been to an MCR show and you're concerned about them sucking when you go, just don't go with high expectations and you'll probably find yourself pleasantly surprised.

I've been to shows throughout their career, from the basement shows to last year's headlining tour. While I LOVE My Chem, they have never been the greatest live band. It comes down to experience, for them, I think. They have, however, gotten better and better with each tour. The live video I've seen of their dates after releasing TBP is actually pretty fantastic.

So basically, they've always had a ton of energy live and put on a great show, but if you are there strictly for the music, it's not been as good in the past. However, seeing them on this upcoming tour I think they are going to be better live than they have ever been.

I have to agree, it is more of an experience as well.

And honestly, I like the fact that they sound pretty raw live. But I guess that worked better when I saw them touring Bullets, I'm curious to see how TBP will sound live. They sound better in small places, when I saw them with Green Day... terrible sound.
