Does anyone have any best best best friends that moved? Like out of state or just far away. I did. Her name was Nicole and we used to do EVERYTHING together. She was like sisterly. We would sit by the creek and just talk ALL day. I'd have lunch with her and stuff, and we'd just hang out in my backyard or on her porch all day. It was great! She moved to Tennesee in 5th grade and then Ohio about two years ago. How I miss those days sooo much...:(

My bestest bestest friend in the world moved to NH in 4th grade =( and 2 years ago I moved to a different town and left all my friend behind. I'm not that far away though.. but it would take hours to go see them.

In my freshman year, I realized my best friend was just using me as an excuse to be out so she can just get guys phone numbers. When my small little 14 year old brain realized this I lost contact with her. And my other best friend never talks to me anymore but last year when she realized I was going to warped tour she started talking to me and I ended up taking her to it. She got all pissy at it because she didn't get to meet good charlotte. And she didn't really talk to me all this year until warped tour came around, somehow, she started talking to me again...mostly about warped tour. I hate being used.
and now i have no friends because i have lost all trust in people. :(

In grade 4 my best friend moved which sucked. We kept in touch but then she stopped returning my calls :\ Then I moved in grade 5 and was a big loser and only had 2 or 3 friends at my new school, but one of those friends ended up being my best friend. We've now been best friends for 6 years and we are so alike it's scary. People even tell us we sound like eachother..

I think it's easy to be best friends with both. In my last post I forgot to mention my other best friend(who is a guy). We've been friends since grade 7 and we can tell each other everything,

i don't find it easier or harder to have a best friend of the opposite sex. mainly, it just depends on the person.

I moved from Ohio last August. Left 12 years of my life behind and all the friends I made.. I moved here where I didn't know one person which compared to friends I had since kindergarten and first grade. It's hard as hell

I forgot which comedian said this, but he put it perfectly on the topic of having a best friend of the opposite sex...it's like having 19.00 in the atm...you've got money, but you're never going to get it...so it's just going to be there, frustrating you, ...and then he goes on I forgot how it goes, but yeah, lady best friends don't work out to well...I have one or two really good friends who are girls, and all the other girls I'm friends with, I just keep enough contact with to hang with every now and then, I don't call them "just to talk" or whatever...but yeah...

i had a friend that moved to maryland a few years ago. i hadn't known her long, but we were still pretty good friends.
growing up, i had a lot of guy friends, and hardly any girl friends. when i started high school a few years ago my guy friends and i stopped talking to each other, and i made plenty of girl friends. i don't know what happened, i guess you could say "conflicting interests." so in my opinion it's harder to have a friend of the opposite sex.

my best friend is moving in a few months an hour away (not too far) but we had this huge fucking fight this morning about something really kinda stupid, and i highly doubt that we're going to make up from this...according to my sister, she and my other friend spent the entire afternoon at day camp (i work at a day camp that my sister attends) talking about what a bitch i am. its like theres a hole that all the ice cream in the world wont fix...oh, by the way, its much much easier to have a best friend of the opposite sex, my bestest friend (heather, the one who i fought with) and i have known each other for 11 years or so, and weve never fought like this, but my two other best friends are guys, and its so much easier being friends with them..no pms. sorry im sitting here bitching about my problems

it definately counts. it means that there is no pressure to "hook up" and they can have sleepovers at your house and you can check out guys together when you go out. plus, when you go anywhere with most girls, they have to look their best or whatever. i can just go hang out with will in my sweats and bitch about guys, and he totally understands that sometimes guys are stupid jerks (not all of them, dont jump down my throat about that), because hes been there. i love my best friend, hes the best, and he knows my favorite post break up ice cream flavor (chocolate pecan from handels, if you were wondering although i doubt you were)

Well, then I guess it's best to say that it is a lot easier to have friends of the opposite sex..especially if they are gay. :)

07/04/03, 04:24 AM
yea with girls
theres so much competition. i mean with a guy friend you can't fight over a guy, unless hes gay. but lets say hes straight.
but the thing is what if you fall for them. or start to... what do u do? i would WANT to go out with them, but also not because theres such a high chance of it going wrong...
yea the whole falling for thing sucks so bad... i would know how bad it sucks...:( oh well. we're great friends now.:)
