With Emmanuel officially revealing his intention to run for mayor, it seems he has become the favorite if not just by name association. How do you guys feel about him? And the fact that he stood down from Chief of Staff to run? I think this is very interesting and while I want him to win, I'm wanna hear what you guys think too? Who's from The Windy City?

Can't he come run for Mayor of Buffalo? Anyone is better than the spineless, incompetent morons that fear decisions we keep putting in.

our current mayor is actually quite beloved and comes from a strong family of chicago mayors. it will be an interesting time indeed for chicago in the coming months/years.

I'm glad Daley is leaving. It will be interesting to see how much tax payer money will be used to remove all of the "Richard M. Daley" signs. That crook has his name on EVERYTHING.

I wouldn't say he is the front runner. From what I've heard Tom Dart and Gery Chico are "ahead."

He's definitely more pragmatic than most politicians nowadays. I had to watch a video of his role in the elections of 2006 and he seems like the kind of guy who can get shit done even if i don't agree with his ideas
I live in Chicago. Emanuel is going to win.
We're talking about mayor here, being a Republican or a Democrat is going to have no bearing. The person with the most name recognition on the ballot will be the eventual winner and at this point, he's the leader in that category by a long shot.
